Artist Profile

Tim Hedlund is a performing musician and instructor for guitar and banjo, based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in 2024. At Berklee, Tim completed coursework in guitar, vocals, piano, songwriting, and music production.

As a performer, Tim is a banjo player and vocalist for The Chickenshack Bluegrass Band, a five-piece traditional bluegrass band that has performed at bluegrass festivals around New England, including the Ossipee Valley Music Festival, the Thomas Point Beach Bluegrass Festival, and the Joe Val Bluegrass Festival. Tim also plays in a bluegrass trio, 9LB Hamster, which plays at fairs and private events around the Seacoast area of New Hampshire.

As an instructor, Tim teaches guitar and banjo lessons to students of all ages. Tim aims to instill his passion for and enjoyment of music into his students, so that they may share in the joy of using their musical talents to connect with other musicians and audiences.
